With the HR-XML Consortium in its tenth year of serving the HR community and the long-anticipated launch of the HR-XML 3.0 Schema, there is much to celebrate! We invite you to join us in Chicago for the HR-XML Luncheon on Friday, October 2. We will acknowledge these two important milestones in the Consortium's history with great food, cocktails, and conversations with some of the industry's thought leaders.

We have scheduled the luncheon to immediately follow the close of the HR Technology Conference, across the street at the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place, to make it as easy as possible for you to attend both events.

During the HR-XML luncheon, you'll hear from blogger and Knowledge Infusion CEO Jason Averbook and other experts in the HR field. They'll discuss how this latest release of the Schema serves as a springboard for HR technology companies to develop innovative products and solutions in the future. You'll also get a chance to learn more about the Consortium's vision for the future, providing critical benefits to vendors and end users through collaborative efforts.

The HR-XML Luncheon takes the place of this year's HR-XML Global Partnering and Integration Summit, which will not be held in 2009. We have heard from many of you that your needs related to the HR-XML standards would be best met this year through offerings that require a minimal amount of travel and time away from the office. In response to your feedback, the Consortium is developing a series of Webcasts and other valuable resources. These will be available in the near future. I want to stress that we will be hosting the full Partnering Summit again in 2010, so please plan to join us then as well!
